 In recent years much effort has been made to register and categorize photographs in the Culture House Photography Collection. Some of the photographs received are photos of unidentified individuals. Photos of people that nobody knows the identity of have relatively little value. Therefore, the Culture House regularly publishes some of the photos on its website with the hope that we receive tips on the people in the photos.

November 4th 2010 a new Exhibition with illustrated childrenbooks will open in the Culture House on the ground floor.

Recently the Museum of Photography received six photos that were taken at Grenjadarstadur around 1940. The photos are of children playing around the old turf house. Soffía Margrét Þorgrímsdóttir and her son Hermann Þráinsson gave the photos to the Museum and we would like to thanks them for this gift.
